great read. I do not believe it is in a person best interest to go to their friends for relationship advice. Reason being, is because there are too many potential biases and errors to make the advice given ideal. For instance, if your friend thinks highly or low, of you, or your partner, their opinion could potentially be prejudice. The adviser advice could also be tampered by their current mood and situation. Another factor that hinders the individual seeking advice is judgment. It’s only natural for someone to form an opinion of you and your partner when issues within your relationship is revealed. This is not even factoring in if the friend gives good advice, period. It is possible to get good advice from a friend, but there are just too many anomalies that make that likely.
